In that I have no knowledge of the details of each case. I cannot really comment. If in the case the only real evidence was a confession, then the case for pardon may have been compelling. I think the universal commutation may have been overboard. But sans details, it is difficult to judge.

When I see the mindless denial of reality posted here by several, I can believe mistakes can be made.

Just like it takes several points of match to declare a fingerprint is a valid match, I suggest a death penalty should require several kinds of evidence to assure beyond a reasonable doubt.

I don't know how to create such a body of law. But that's what I believe should be done.
