The big question is what is next after that? My recent work is suggesting a chinook type end for the winter, i.e. a warm wind comes in from the west and winter is over . Two questions arise pertaining to NG consumption, when will the chinook come and will the spring be warmer or cooler than normal? Best I can do right now and it is preliminary, not for certain is to suggest a warm up within a few days of Feb. 7, lasting about a week, then more colder than normal temps, then the winter breaks "chinook" like (remember, I'm talking forecast area of Pennsylvania) end of February to the first few days of March. The second question, a warmer than normal spring, I am not answering right now. I suggest everyone with an interest in the weather sign up in the brown box, top right, where it says "Try Professional" on the accuweather.com site:wwwa.accuweather.com Because I may no longer be giving free weather advice on SI and Joe Bastardi is the best I've seen available on the web. After a bang on, TRIUMPHANT winter forecast this year, born of the necessary re-tuning and tweaking of my systems after last years disappointments (01-02 first problem winter since 93!), I'm making plans for an almanac styled weather website of my own. If plans work out, it won't be free, ggg. EDIT: Note that no matter if I do or do not "go pro", none of my weather forecasts are investment advice or meant to be used in relation to any financial activities. Best Regards, Roebear
