Why American-led? No one else is convincing enough… not even Xena, as grand a broad as she is. Could the “Sheeple” democratically select an Empire? Well, it wouldn’t be the first time, would it. I don’t care. I, the Sheeple, would like this show to go on for some time… I’ll buy any empirically sound Empire, for as long as it can effectively keep clowns’ hands off buttons, for as long as possible.

Anyway, until we start asking the right questions, what’s the point in getting answers?

Cheers!

>>Why would it need to be American led?<<

Because our defense budget is bigger than the rest of the world, combined.

Only epsteinbd commented on this article I posted yesterday, maybe because it's longish and boring unless you are interested in how the military thinks and speaks. What interested me are the assumptions, implicit and explicit, e.g., "the US is the defacto global cop" (#5) (explicit), "the United States maintains the world’s only global blue-water navy" (#37) (implied, the US rules the waves).

Inevitable conclusion, it's our turf, we make the rules.

I was hoping for debate but I think it's too late. This particular subject appears to have been resolved while we were talking about other things.
