Well...if they did....some other fund bought (WTC) the shares. Have not looked at AAS today.

I have heard many times that Tice likes to hold over 10% of juniors that he thinks may one day be taken over because the buyer will have to deal with him directly..and may get a better price ;)

If Pacific International found a buyer to exercise some of the warrants...good for them. Tice will still maintain most of his %age.

Teck Com used to hold 3.3 Mil shares. Reminds me of how they took a big piece of Diamondfields..and walked away with a cool 100 Mil. Wonder what they are thinking?

Bishop thinks Rangold will take a run at Nevsun...so we shall see.

Personally..I like Ivanhoe...and see a potential 10.00 buyout some day.

ETG is an incredible area play... could you do some DD and tell me what you think? I will give you a mini brief shortly.

ETG and IVN

Entree's market cap is $7.2 Mil.

Ivanhoe's is $654 Mil.

Will Robert Friedland and his Ivanhoe Mines show interest in Entree Gold?

Consider this...on Jan 07, IVN announced that the "magnitude of the gold and copper discovery at Turquoise Hill (Oyu Tolgoi) in Mongolia has been upgraded by the realization that all three previously identified mineralized zones are geologically connected as part of one major mineralized system."

On Jan. 03 IVN announced that work has started on a new, independent resource estimate for Turquoise and is expected by the end of the month.

This is very interesting because Entree's "179,590-hectare Shivee Tolgoi concessions completely surround, and are contiguous on all sides with, Ivanhoe Mines' Oyu Tolgoi (Turquoise Hill) property, on which Ivanhoe previously has reported Far North zone drill intercepts of 638 metres averaging 1.61 per cent copper and 0.07 gram per tonne gold, including 114 metres of 3.58 per cent copper and 0.23 gram per tonne gold. More recently, on Oct. 30, 2002, Ivanhoe announced new drilling results, closer to the boundary with Entree's Shivee Tolgoi property, which contain "the most impressive mineral intercepts encountered at Oyu Tolgoi."

IVN has recently extended its Far North zone geophysical and geochem grid to within 100 metres of Entree's Shivee Tolgoi property.

How could something so deep end so abruptly?

What am I missing?

This map shows that Friedland has most of the good land based on his original exploration...but with the new holes coming in with best grades up north...he may not have it all:

ETG may be sitting on some of that huge system...if so...no takeover will come without first dealing with them IMO.

Friedland has a list of the best institutions from Asia, Europe and North America holding well over a third of a billion dollars (Bob the pig has over 100 million shares LOL) in paper, as he just did another $60 Mil.

Thoughts?

Russ,Bruce, Claude what do you think of this type of mineralization?:

due diligence grab samples are from a copper-rich portion of the exposed blasted trench at Site 1. Additional grab samples from historical surface showings of VMS mineralization were removed at Site 2 and Site 3 located approximately 400 meters and 500 meters respectively along an apparent north-south strike from Site 1. The ground between the showings is covered by low lying swampy vegetation. significant values are recorded below:
