EWI designates the rise from 1932 to at least 2000 as a supercycle wave of which cycle wave 5 began in 1974.

If you accept this count clearly upon completion of the 5 motive waves we will see a three wave correction at the cycle level which would be expected to correct between .38 and .62% of the up since 1932.

To date we have not retraced to such an extent that such retracement can no longer be considered primary wave 4 within cycle wave 5.

While we can not say that the 2000 highs will not be exceeded prior to the commencement of this retracement, if you accept the count suggested by EWI it is difficult not to accept that for at least the next decade, and perhaps longer we will be in a correction with the market trending down.
