There is no dream greater or grander than the dream those of us who have children dream that our children may be better than ourselves. I have yet to experience the joy that God may someday grant me with grandchildren of my own. I am however already proud of the kindness, decency, and morality of the children that my wife and I have been blessed with. It is heart rendering to see to see the pain and death visited upon those whose moral turpitude has robbed them of what they could truly aspire to be. It is with pain and regret that I remember a ten year old young girl that later married, had a son, and was betrayed by the man she loved. Karen was a very real and selfless individual who forgave this transgression against her. It is impossible to remember Karen and her noble spirit without acknowledging that she was a Christian. Karen died of AIDS, as did her husband and his boyfriend. Her son will forever be scared with the pain of his childhood and he will always be loved by his family. * * *
