mj,

re: Good grief John, just let football be football. Its supposed to be entertainment

I agree, you are absolutely right...

Still, you have a Tony Dungy, who comes in and is a pure role model for the community... that turns football players of questionable morals into folks that start local charities. Turns these guys from jerks to role models. His priorities are God, family; then football (BTW, I'm, agnostic).

After that, all he does is take the team to the playoffs every year, one of the most successful coaches in the league. And he get's fired because his teams can't seem to win a playoff game.

So what is the balance of real value? To the community? I'm not sure myself... if Gruden brings a Super Bowl winner, that's got a huge amount of value.

But regardless of how the Colts do, I think the folks in Indianapolis are very fortunate to have Tony Dungy in town. Super Bowl or no Super Bowl. And if the Bucs lose next week, what town is better off, Tampa Bay of Indianapolis?

John
