Don't be discouraged, Dave. I think many here agree with your general outlook. You also have done very well in articulating those positions and confirming what some may have believed, but weren't sure how to defend. It is easier and less time-consuming to poke holes in illogical posts.

Your common sense is 90% of that art. So I'm not amazed that they so misconstrue what you and other moderate thinking folks post. The remaining 10% is in speaking in a way that is ambiguous. Of course common sense is 100% alien to lefty loons, that is why it is 90% of the art.
