<So now you claim the US is not a civilized nation?>

Some minor problems, yes, but nothing that cannot be fixed, but that 2-party system is a
difficult catch-22 nut to crack, way back from the 1700s.

<Just what wonderful paradise are you from?>

One clearly multi-party system, defined as "the first democracy" by Washington Journal
at the entry to the 21st century.

<Buddy, if you think a parliamentary system has no problems, I'd suggest you take another look.>

Yes, I have been searching for pure 2-party systems for a long time.

<Just one example: Weimar Republic Germany had a parliamentary system. Adolph Hitler was elected Chancellor because his party received 34% of the vote.>

Yes, this a popular argument in USA, but nowhere else, must go with a really catch-22 2-party system.

Not even quoted in the other remainings of 2-party systems, Canada, UK and the other small
former UK colonies which still are struggling.

Btw, is USA the only place where presidential and parliamentary elections are constantly mixed
and messed up???

Ilmarinen

Well, OK, you have a point, neither Canada nor UK have a president.. The 2-party task to
understand it is clearly a dilemma for USA.
