Another way to look at it is that proto-chicken and proto-rooster segregated chicken 1 and rooster 1(Adam and Eve) creating (what a play on words) a race of chickens and roosters. The Romans got hellenized but as usual the result was not a development on a theme but rather a perversion. As to the the "Clash of Civilizations?" you can read Huntington's own rebuttal to his critics and find the reason why it is not a clash of civilizations.
