Food is one of those "renewable resources" that I'm talking about, not to mention the land and water use that goes along with it. Then we have the problem of proper distribution of that food, educating people on good farming techniques, fighting corruption and greed, etc.

Like environmentalism, overpopulation is a social issue. I don't want to go into detail, but I will say that advocating birth control and "abortion on demand" misses the real causes of overpopulation.
