Maybe Mrs. Duisenberg is telling the truth by her lights. People who were willing to collaborate with the Nazis did not have a hard time during the Occupation. This would not be a reflection on Mrs. Duisenberg (BTW, her name is Greta, it's her husband who's Wim), who could not have been very old during the Occupation (her husband was born in 1935).

Correction noted. As Sullivan noted, she kind of omitted the 250,000 Dutch people the Nazis killed during Occupation. Not to mention the aerial bombardment of Rotterdam.

We don't think too highly of people who recall (whether truthfully by "their lights" or no) how happy the 'darkies' were under slavery, and how they sang and danced. There's a limit to the amount of credit I give for ignorant sincerity.
