Do you want the detained Taliban and Al Qaida released or not?

Not really. I would, however, like to see them put through the appropriate procedures as defined by relevant international treaties (respect for law and all that, you know).

It is possible that some are not related to Al-Qaeda at all (like the two detainees sent home after about a year in Guantanamo because US authorities realized they had nothing to do with it) and I would like their position to be clarified asap.

Do you think a competent tribunal would free the detainees we are holding?

They would at least be heard by the tribunal, allowed to call in witnesses, etc. Hence, some of the detainees might be able to prove they had nothing to do with Al-Qaeda and were turned in to US soldiers for the reward. Possibly, those would be freed. The rest would, possibly, be POWs and not just "detainees" left to rot until the end of time with no chance in front of a tribunal.

I cannot believe nobody else on this thread is arguing for this, and some are actually arguing against it.
