I agree. Ever since they warned in Q2 I have had the feeling that they were going to try to clean house this year so they could have a clean start in 2003. In hindsight (though some people did warn), Jerry must have really stuffed the channel to make his last quarter look as good as possible.

Once again I will point out that, in my notso humble opinion, the cash flow at AMD should be a much more important number than its loss. Ruiz and Co. will probably pack as much "bad stuff" into the 2002 loss so that 2003 starts out as clean as possible. The "Captain Four Que" number is almost arbitrary and as such it is almost ignorable.

The key is guidance. 2002 is another garbage year; every one knows that.......its what they see coming up for 2003 that will determine where the stock goes. If they're lame like INTC and say there will be improvement in the 2nd half, which is a repeat of INTC's guidance from last year, then I expect the stock to drift down for awhile.
