<We remain optimistic regarding QCOM's near term strength and long term prospects, but maintain some reservations regarding the sustainability of current momentum>

Ever since the earnings acceleration commenced in Spring/Summer of last year, analysts have been highly skeptical that it could continue, predicting first that it wouldn't last through the fall, and then predicting that by Xmas a full blown inventory buildup meltdown would be underway.

we can quibble around the edges if we like, but CDMA is playing an increasingly large role in wireless around the globe. Given the small base we started from, given all of the huge untapped virgin markets going live for the first time, given that the #s have been achieved even though 1X has gotten off to a less than rousing start in the US, why is there this insistence in believing that QCOM's success is just a blip on the screen? What will it take for them to realize that we are still in the infancy of a powerful LT growth story. This is not a blip, its the beginning of a trend.
