It is not a "scientific" study of your caliber, I fear, but it is VERY imaginative and unique in its fusion of ancient legends and futuristic technology/sci-fi. Barak's proposal was a surprisingly (to me) generous one, and it got nowhere. This is repeated very often, and not just by you. I am not very familiar with that proposal, but I remember reading someone on SI explain in significant detail why it was not acceptable to the Palestinian side. Something about the control still being in Israeli state's hands... I am sure you would be able to find some arguments for why it was rejected. You seem to be assuming it is because Arafat is a madman that he rejected a perfectly good proposal? And for that reason Israel should never go into peace talks with Palestinians as long as Arafat is their leader AND continue to occupy their land and build more settlements? Really, Fred...You also have not responded to my allegation that the feudal Arab oil states, and the Iranian theocracy need to blame Israel for their troubles (I cited the Ayatollah) to deflect attention from their own failures to Israel, and therefore support and need terrorism and its response. Very probably. And so? Diversion is a popular method among governments. Look how Bush is warmongering to divert attention from America's failing economy and corporate scandals, some of which lead to his front door. but I want more atheists coming out of the closet I have nothing against that. Personally, I have never been "in the closet", although I lived in predominantly Muslim places most of my life and was less than popular for saying I see no proof for the existence of God and will not believe until I do.
