Agree. It's probably politically impossible to do nothing. Doing nothing could also have serious social consequences.

I think the Austrian's would simply counter that if they were running the show we would have a sound monetary and banking system so we'd wouldn't have the kind of excesses that could cause severe economic consequences or even threaten the democracy.
