good essay. tanks for sharing it.

i've often thought, and this is a true
"american" thought, that everyone should
have a hydrogen bomb in their home...
(it's the "right-to-bear-arms-thought"
placed in our heads by our civics teachers
teaching us our bill of rights).

and while that would do wonders for the
art of international diplomacy... it is
too hazardous on the domestic front.

unfortunately, we've proven that easy access
to firearms is dangerous to school children,
co-workers of the disgruntled, friends of the
inebriated, everyone in or around the homes
of spouses involved in adulterous affairs,
and anyone in the path of a wild ex-president's
son who has murdered half his brain cells with
cocaine and alcohol and fantasized himself as
the cowboy lead in too many john ford westerns.

the essay you posted has changed my mind. i'm
going to take my h-bomb to the pawn shop and
sell it tomorrow.
