Great idea! Once AMD is gone we can go back to paying $2,500 for a slow computer, instead of $995 for a fast one.

The Athlon 2400+ is the about same price as a 2.4 Ghz P4.

The price parity is very unusual. I wonder about the results to be reported this week. The high end of the range of Athlon processors had very good ASPs, but we don't know how well they sold (unit-wise).
