I have stated that I am not inherently against the death penalty. I am disputing "myth #3" and suggesting that it should be addressed in every conceivable way to assure that innocent people are not executed. The resistance by the states to implement an automatic DNA test where DNA material is available, tells me that the states do not have their priorities in the right place WRT justice. If there is a hole in our justice system, we should be screaming to patch it up instead of accepting that it isn't perfect or going into denial that mistakes have been made.
