Unfortunately we are indeed in a sort of weirdly horrific war.

I have been reading The Patton biography. He was a crazy
loadmouth and kind of a loose cannon at times. But he did win battles which is why Eisenhower was smart enough to put up with him.

His fundamental tenet was that all defensive wars are doomed to failure. We cannot just sit back and wait for something to happen. This means covert action. In fact so covert that the public could never even know that a battle has been fought or won. We need a Patton but one that loathes publicity as opposed to the original who relished the limelight.

We need to attack but completely in the dark out of the public eye. Maybe we have already won a few skirmishes.....
