After the last Gulf War stopped short of Baghdad, there were inspectors sent in.

In any case, (a)it's easy to claim you've destroyed whatever weapons you are claimed to have once had ("they're gone! See? Here's the paper ordering the destruction. See? It's signed by Saddham Hussein hisself!"), and (b)how can anyone believe there are none, regardless? What if the inspectors didn't see them all the last time around?

It's a silly argument.
The only solution is continued observation and full-access inspections over time.

To somehow say "prove you don't have any" is absurd on its face. The only justification for that mangled logic is to somehow construct a phony deadline to trigger a much-needed war.
