bcrafty, according to EWI of a few days ago, "...Market Vane's Bullish Consensus hit 90%, a new record high since the 1980 all-time peak. The gold bulls have now been at or above 85% for the past 16 trading days (since Dec. 13), also another record."

I didn't check myself their data. Does sound impressive.

bcrafty, you can make one on StockCharts, but there is no pre-defined BP-Goldie. To make your own you'd first have to save a Favorites list of all the mining companies you want to include. Then you would use the Scan Engine to see how many of them are on PnF "Buy" signals. Divide that number by the total in the list and that's your BP for that day. Later, rinse, repeat ~260 times, (with slight variations each time), and you'd have a year's worth of BP-Gold data. Then just plug it into any spread sheet and chart it out. Shouldn't take more than a few days to get the first year's data nailed down. After that you can update it in a few minutes per day.

I'm sure we'll all be looking forward to seeing the chart, so please be sure to post it when it's finished. {G}

DWA (www.dorseywright.com) is the only one that I know of who has a BP for precious metals (BPPREC), but I no longer subscribe, so don't have the information.
