It sounds like a group which could destabilize the entire area once various people start grabbing for power. Then, Al Qaeda spreads the word the CIA is behind the group and all hell breaks out.

Turks already got a promise that there will be no separate Kurdish state, and in fact, the Turkish army will enter northern Iraq in the case of an invasion to guarantee just that.

Aren't these the same Kurds who are harboring Al Qaeda? What happened to the War on Terror?
