SBH,

Re: As for the economic gain of dropping ordinance on innocent iraqis, where is the material gain from that?

Wow, until you got to this point, I had hope. Now the saying goes, "there are no dumb questions." Don't believe it.

Where is the profit in dropping ordnance? Good grief. Figure it out. Someone manufactured the airplane for a profit, a corporation manufactured the aircraft carrier for a profit, the avionics were manufactured for a profit, the logistics support provided by Cheney's Halliburton is done for a profit, the bomb is consumed and the Department of Death has to buy replacement, for a profit to the bomb makers.

The more bombs they drop, the more profit the merchants of death make. The arms dealers have a built in incentive to create wars. Don't you recall Dwight Eisenhower's famous warning to America in his Farewell Speech in 1961? "Beware the military-industrial complex." These are the people who love this idea of attacking Iraq, and then Iran, and then North Korea, and then the rest of the world. Hell, son, there's a profit to be made. Let's getchyer war on! These are the some unprincipled, immoral people who murdered 58,000 Americans and two million Vietnamese and gloated about how good it was for bidness.

That isn't obvious to you?
