ANY place with ancient ruins is a vacation spot for me! :-)

The islands off the Honduras coast, Roatan in particular, are vacation spots. Like the islands off Belize. Good snorkeling and scuba.

So your brother wasn't in Honduras, eh? :-)

He was not pleased with the surroundings
Compared to Guatemala, Honduras ain't bad.

Copan does not appear to be on the coast.
It's inland. Mountainous jungle.

The model UN was fun.
I went in the early '60s. The USSR "Ambassador" was a gas! He had the Communist lingo down pat and was fast on his feet. At one point, he did Kruschev, including banging on the desk with his shoe.
