That's as close as I'd come to saying yes...which is to say, very close. I still don't think I would ultimately support it, cautious as I am about the gradualist tendencies of governments and lawmakers. But I might, who knows. It's doubtful. On the other hand, and with more certainty: I might very well be in favor of not offering protective custody to such individuals while they're awaiting trial, being moved from courthouse to their place of incarceration, etc...if you get where I'm coming from.
