I have no opinion about the purity of the French language. I don't mind new words. I just don't like my old friends to change.

I read a year or two ago that France was having some type of symposium or conference to promote the French language in world affairs. France is not pleased that French, which was the international language of government, two hundred years ago, has become a secondary language.
