Well, to reply to your post, NC, would take us way off topic. I'll take a whack. No doubt, you will want to reply. But, perhaps, that should be enough. I'll try to resist yet another reply.

I doubt that Krauthammer, for one, has ever written a shrill column in his life.

You must be related. If you don't recognize shrill in K's columns, then we've got the radio tuned to different channels. He's less shrill, these days, than George Will and Michael Kelly. Granted. But shrill he is.

As for the long list of ills from the Clinton admin, they each take several posts. Of course, I don't agree that Clinton was responsible for them. To discuss them seriously, however, would take forever on a thread which has no need to do so.

But the point of mine I gather you are responding to us why is it that conservative columnists can't get their writing motors started until they tack one or two gratuitous and generally erroneous hits at Clinton. How about trying to explain that.

As for Bush not dwelling on recriminations, what does that have to do with the price of bread? I gather you haven't noticed just how leak free this admin is. I wonder if that could be because folk fear some form of recrimination, like job loss, if they do.
