that was a lot of typing to tell me what i already know...my point being that auther made a stupid statement is we already have inflation..as an example i'll use MCD.

McDonalds costs for product are going through the roof...you can look at a few commodities to confirm this.
But because of competition or said another way over capacity MCD can't make a profit..what it boils down to is STAGFLATION.
That authors presumtion that inflation will make companies profitable again is so flawed to be laughable.
Now if the excesses could be unwound first it might work...but as long as the mal investments in keeping companies afloat it won't happen...How many billions have been spent to keep Kmart afloat?
There is way, way to much retail in all sectors out there.
