i'm glad you're enjoying it, honestly i am. i'm not advocating, i'm stating a personal preference.

nobody in my extended family "loves" windows. half of them gave up having PCs at all because it just wasn't worth the trouble. at the time i thought they were being neo-luddites, but you know what, they were right.

it is ridiculous what my 75 year old retired seamstress grandmother has to go through just to see an emailed photograph of her granddaughter.

ps my bmw is made by a company with considerably less than 4% marketshare. guess i should swap it for a GM, eh? -g-

My reservations soared with the release of XP. Since I "diddle" with the hardware, how many times can I change the hard disks without it stopping? Also, the "buit-in spyware" that they are currently "not using" is a cause for concern. When I recently had to get a new box (with XP), I thought about reformatting the hard disk and putting on a copy of '98.
