Fair enough. Keep in mind that Cisco's Internet Operating System is fairly significant IP, without which the guts of the Internet wouldn't run. :)

So until Dell buys up a company like Juniper or the former Stratacom and decides to REALLY get into the biz, Cisco will be able to be plenty competitive.

So just to reiterate, I don't think the networking industry is as simple as selling a few low end gadgets. It's a tougher nut to crack because alot of the gear is harder to commoditize. And of course we all know that Dell's strength lies in their ability to commoditize products and undersell competitors.
