...Intel Profit Rises January 14, 2003 16:25:45 (ET) SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Reuters) - Intel Corp. (INTC,Trade), the world's largest maker of microprocessors, on Tuesday posted fourth-quarter profit of 16 cents per share on slightly higher revenues. Net income for the quarter rose to $1.0 billion, or 16 cents a share, from $504 million, or 7 cents, a year earlier, the Santa Clara, California company said. On that basis, analysts had forecast Intel would earn 14 cents a share, in a range between 12 cents and 15 cents, on revenue of $6.9 billion, according to Thomson First Call.
