HastelCo New shorthand ? LOL... Sorry for the delay (second try as I got the blue screen of death on the first). Was on site today at a client while most of my PM stops got hit :o( :o( anway on Provident... I have a small position acquired from the Meota takeover. 1) This Internalizing appears to be a trend. Probably better for those adding after the fact as it should as they point out cut down on expenses. These guys are a bit hard to follow back and I didn't delve to far back as my position is small. They were Founders and some other name I think prior. 2)They (mgmt) don't collect (as some do) for acquisitions and dispositions, only unit and dividend performance, so that's good. 3)I guess if I was a long time shareholder I might be bugged by the seemingly high buyout of the management company and dilution but in the longer term I don't think it's a problem and it actually now makes them more attractive to me wrt to adding. (not running out right here but it improves the odds I will add when the price is right) Remember though my perspective is real LT on these. I like to look at this one for that LT perspective. My dad has had it for a long time (10 years I think). If you look at the cumulative distribution record over that time you'll see he's done well. pengrowth.com.
