It is actually on a similar basis that it is claimed that intelligence is 40-60% genetically determined: if one finds identical twins raised apart, generally due to adoption, environment can be eliminated as a strong factor, and therefore if they have the same performance, it is mostly genetic. If the range of similar performance is 40-60%, it suggests that the environment "lined up" properly about half the time, to exploit genetic identities.......
