Have you checked to see if it has worked in previous months/years. It actually looks like it does correlate pretty well.

I will go back a few years and check it out.

NDX not as clear a signal as the comp it seems.
You shorting the index on the comp signal?

I think you're putting too much emphasis on absolute levels. I think it's more telling that the little green thingie has turned down on both charts. That means buying pressure is dropping. It often happens that which ever of the little colored lines is higher turns down before the lower one turns up. So I'm looking for the little red thingie to turn up -- regardless of what absolute level it starts from.
