That's not the only problem ! LOL! you can't have New Deal type public works programs without New Deal type economic controls Problems in priority order - secrecy in gov't leading to creating rather than combating terrorism, elite legislation on war and taxes leading to hollowing-out of the lower and middle class and the economy in general, and worldwide disdain for Bush and the administration leading to decades of diplomatic problems in the future. Gov't proposals to invest in infrastructure at this time to stimulate the economy from the ground up is simply a policy decision to be made, not a problem on the scale of any of the above.
