Zonder, I was referring to the article's conclusion that the US is somehow breeding terrorism because of stuff happening in Malaysia, Uzbekistan, China, Cuba, … wherever.

Sweden, as one example, is critical of our Cuban detention centre, but do you think the Palestinian lad who's gloriously blowing his brains into some innocent diner's pepperoni pie is seriously thinking, "Praise be to Allah, Sweden's foreign minister, Anna Lindh is right! US detention policy in Cuba sucks!! Goodbye cruel world...aarRGghHHGG!!! BAM!"? I think Anna's the last thing on his mind. Just a guess.

That was the point of Brinkley's HRW "article". My opinion of that article is that it's riddled with bogus conclusions. Let's not get emotional just because I think it's tripe journalism. I don't think HRW understands where terrorism is really bred.
