You PDPs have been parroting the "we haven't made a mistake yet" line, but the mistake WILL be made at some point. That guy in IL was 48 hours away. Isn’t that close enough to show you it could happen? So the DP is not acceptable, especially if we have alternatives that accomplish the same thing. Question is, what are we trying to accomplish? I want the “DP-sentenced level” murderer removed from society, rendered harmless and deprived of consciousness. You want to torture and kill. Thankfully, society leans more in my direction. The value of a human life is such that we should not put ourselves in a position where a mistake can be made.
