i guess the one thing that amazes me is the apparent willingness of the market to ignore the implications of population demographics.

the argument has been that the exploding immigration has offset the eventual decline of spending and increase cost to the taxpayer of the boomers....

i see that as a negative especially in the southwest.

and with the increasing unemployment in the high tech sector there is political pressure now to limit the importation of foreign workers.

no matter how you cut it, imo, boomers are a force to be reckoned with downside as well as up.

they are pulling in the buying horns now and that will get worse the closer they get to retirement.
