The thing with gold juniors is that some of them have clear resources in hand ... it is these i stick to mostly, with any considerable amount of money ... look at Minefinders, there's another new high coming there before long, they'll be on the Amex next tuesday ... lots more like that too, various stages of project advancement but so many with clear indications of metal in the ground .... this makes them, as long as they're competently run, excellent long-term call options on the price of gold ... which is generally headed north over the next several years, of that i am convinced

That is not true of diamond drillbit plays ... which i would rank on a par with greenfield drillbit plays going after gold, or copper, or whatever ... one or three maybe of them will be a big homerun each decade, the great majority fail and either go through reincarnation or just go teaters

But mostly, i understand gold plays ... as much as i feel to be necessary and desirable ... this is not true of diamond exploration, where i really don't have a clue as to a lot of the terminology even ... so while i'm open to playing the sector, and have in the past, i pretty much have to rely on the judgment of others, and accept the whole thing as a crapshoot

Ah yes, the Coronation Gulf, another one I discovered and did not get the credit for.

Diamonds are indeed getting interesting. Maybe some news out in a few months in good old Ontari-ari-o.

Here is one for the goose.
