Yet over and over again you have people complaining that we don't have the same employment benefits that the Europeans enjoy. People can see how rising employment cost has had a terrible effect on the German economy yet the labor unions here still want to sue for higher wages. Look at some of the strike settlements we've had in the last two years, in the middle of rising unemployment and a recession. workers at GE are now on the picket line because they don't want to share in the rising cost of medical insurance.. there seems to be a mental disconnect wrt pricing power of their employers and profitability.
