Actually, in a longer term risk/reward scenario (1-year), the risk is about 4-times greater for a long position as it is for a short position from here, IMO. However, the shorter your time frame, the narrower the odds.

In a less than a month time frame, long would beat out short in odds due to the two uptrend lines that are still intact off the 12-31 lows.

mid term chart trend is suspect, imo, (spx has gone nowhere for 3 months, after crooks did a 4-5 day gappo in early oct., hee hee)

long term chart trend is still down
