Sounds like pretty wishful thinking to me and maybe, I'll buy a lottery ticket and become the newest Texas millionaire today.

Terrorism is the only support Bush has had since the election. It will stop working, unless there is ever-greater incidents to galvanize and hypnotize the populace and media. Even if there is, it is likely to be self-defeating if Bush & Co. attempt to further conceal information on events leading up to, and following such events -- it makes them look guilty of either incompetence, or worse, complicity.

Given the obsession with secrecy, it's unlikely they will release any information on past or future actions and information will continue to leak from multiple sources.

Finally, unless Bush & Co. can rapidly back away from policies that appear to be severely damaging to both corp interests and Senators and Congressmen's districts, they'll have no choice but to move on their own before '04

It all hinges on how much Bush & Co. depend on terrorism to maintain their popularity. Should they exceed their level of hubris, which I think they have by a long ways already, the rest of the GOP will have to run for cover to protect their offices.

Bush could still continue if (a)economic policies change dramatically, (b)Democrats remain in a cryogenic state, (c)no strong Independent challenge emerges, (d)events escalate and martial law is declared, or (e)peace is declared, and Bush convinces most that he's the hero.

All are "iffy", imo
