Ted, <Not wanting to pay taxes when you are rich is not an indication of individualism but a sign of greed.>

I've got more news for you, Ted. The rich don't pay their "fair share" of taxes in the first place. Either they've already made theirs and don't have incomes to tax, or they can afford to take advantage of the numerous tax shelters out there.

Very good.......you're very right! I think there may be a closet liberal trying to get out. <g>

<unless you are making more than 150 k per year, you should be pissed!>

I'm a single guy making an engineer's salary, and I don't even own my own home. I'm not rich enough to take advantage of many tax breaks (such as owning my own home), but I'm not poor enough to "deserve" a tax cut. It's no wonder that guys like me pay the highest percentage of taxes out there, even though we probably move the high-tech economy more than anyone else.

And the Dems are saying if you want to give out a tax cut, help the guy like you and I, not the rich.

I'm not expecting any pity, but I hope you understand why I get pissed whenever politicians talk about "tax cuts for the rich." They're obviously lumping me in with the real white-collar crooks and sleazeballs.

I get pissed too........why should multimillionaires get a break?
