Depends on what your definition of "win" is.

The US will win if it chooses to. Regardless of what happens.
Do you think the U.S. has won in Afganistan? Does the war have to be over before a winner or loser can be identified?

>>> The US will win if it chooses to. Regardless of what happens. You very well may not like what might be done to make that happen, but the US will win.<<<

So long as half the people in America are kept close to, if not, ignorant; so long as only half of all who could vote for the presidency actually do vote for the presidency; so long as only a third continue to vote in statewide elections and 16 percent in municipal elections, the status quo can be maintained.

You see, 25 percent elect the president; 16.5 percent elect the governor and eight percent elect the mayor. Meanwhile, most of us get governed by those who have the money and the connections to manipulate those thin margins.

Indeed, the same politicians will get elected over and over and the same corporate interests, both domestic and foreign, are continually appeased.

So if a war here or a war there, a small one here a large one there, is required to keep the above balance, so what--America wins, remember?

Funny, I never ever really thought of the top 10 percent of the people in this country as the only Americans who count. After all, aren't they the ones who are really winning? Indeed, small Joe in the bar ain't gonna do much or worry much for that matter.
