As a famous and successful man said long ago - "there are two reasons a man does something -- a good reason, and the real reason".

Anyone who decides to interpret motives of power politicians otherwise will find themselves predicting wrong, time after time, with only myriad complex excuses left.

I can't anyone surviving long without such skepticism

I can understand the need to stop the discussion -- its obviously difficult to maintain a huge amount of detailed sophistry, vague emotional justifications, pseudo-psychology, etc. in the face of common sense. Faith-based gov't is what they tried to get rid of in 1776
