Not really. Back when I was a long haired teenager, I was cutting through a park when I was stopped and searched, and if I had had any contraband, it might have been bad. I did not, though, and they had a legitimate reason for checking me out, since a robbery suspect was heading towards the MD/DC border in that vicinity. Besides, they were rather polite. In another instance, some friends and I got a little drunk in Georgetown and decided to "buzz" the White House shouting "Impeach Nixon". After about 3 circles, we went over to the Sylvan Theater, near the Washington Monument, to goof around (we were theater folk). Some Park Police came over to check us out, having heard about our little "demonstration". They decided we were harmless kids, chatted with us for a few minutes, and sent us on our way. I had a friend who was unreasonably hassled, but the policeman in question was one of those "summer cops" that the beach communities hire during the high season, just some punk college kid, poorly trained. Anyway, my personal experience has been pretty good so far......
