No kidding, but how many 70s trailer parks went with anything but plastic, even now. At least now the parks require under pinning and many insulate that. Probably use heat tape on the sewer lines now also.

My friend Mike bought a condemned house that was over 100 years old. Basically the bank gave it to him and loaned him what it would cost to tear it down at very low interest so he could fix it up. Fix it up he did and did a fine job and made some $$. He also tore out the old sewer lines and got really sick. The docs said he had Crohn's Disease and cut out part of his intestine. He got sicker and a test on the tissue showed Bubonic Plague. They treated him for that and he's fine. Must have been from the old soil pipe.
