You realize of course, that where Democrats are strongest, there not only is the greatest segregation, but the greatest disparity in income between Blacks and Whites.

What community has the greatest disparity in median income between African American households vs. white households? Depending how you calculate, it is either Oakland, California ($31K), or Milwaukee (49% of white household income). Which metro has the least disparity? San Bernadino-Riverside, where the difference in African American median household income is $6.6K or 85.7% of white household income. Guess which metro voted for Bush in 2000? Oh yeah, African American households in San Bernadino-Riverside, also have a higher median household income, than African American households in Oakland or Milwaukee.
